Spaceship renderings (and I don't mean melted fat!)

"Since I was a little boy I have always dreamed that one day man would journey to the moon and beyond. I now try to create images that show the possibilities of space flight with the technologies that are currently available today or what could be in the near future. In doing so, I try to depict what a manned space mission might actually look like to one of the 9 planets in our solar system." [Not Flash, but fun for Friday anyway.]

I meant to include a link to a series of screenshots taken during the model creation process. It's pretty cool.

Pluto will always be a planet.
Damn it.

In that case, brundlefly, make it at least 12.

plutor took the words right out of my mouth - and dammit I want them back!

but this is very good bryce work, though I am surprised that he can put so much work into the animations but still have a crappy website.

Bryce is a good entry-level modeler, but it's no Maya or Lightwave. Bravo to anyone with this much patience and imagination.

Yeah. I was gonna say. This kind of work in Bryce? Pretty impressive.

The space-ships looked cool enough, but the web design and presence of spelling errors made me loose a lot of respect for the guy.

I just loosed a lot of respect for Citizen Premier

Those schematic screenshots give me a headache. Bryce makes some real purty pictures, but it's a hell of a tool to try doing any real modelling in. I seriously doubt he used only Bryce for his models. I hope for his sake that he didn't, and hope that he imported the complex stuff from somewhere else. Holy crap.

As I recall, Bryce only does boolean modeling, right?

What a neat site--the imagery gets the old imagination churning afresh. The designs are well-thought-out and the modelling is excellent. It's got me wanting to start sketching NEF (Near Earth Future) in pen and ink again.

That said, the page design is utter crap. The layout and weird animation/fade effects have got to go. Content: A+. Presentation: C-.
