I didn't know falcons could breathe in space.

Awesome. I didn't know about this either. It's grabbing a sample of the asteroid and returning it. Intense.

Also, that Mu rocket looks decidedly Japanese to me for some reason. It has a sort of Zen aesthetic.

Main Hayabusa page.

So someone whack me with a clue stick. Are we just sitting here being stupid Americans and mocking Japanese culture because of a similar name or is the Japanese program actively enjoying a successful mission? Because it looks like they're having success and I don't see why we have to be this way.

Apologies if everyone is happy about it and just poking fun. The first few cliparts were "ha ha" but then as they progressed I wondered if some people were intentionally missing the point.

Nevermind. Ugh. Wish I could unpost.

Does the booster rocket have Buddha-nature?

Ohh. Ha. Ha.

That's cool that they're scooping up a chunk of an astroid and bring it back to earth. Good idea; see if they're worth bothering to mine and to develop ways of analyzing astroids at ta distance to pick candidates.

Wow, this thread doesn't have any lame japanese stereotypes in it at all.

Pretty funny how the Japanese only go to Japanese asteroids.

Hey, let's make fun of people, ideas and achievements of other cultures!

What is this, Fark?

Hrhm. I guess I'm just tired. Going to bed now.

Cartman: Come on rice picker!
Chef: Hey, hey, hey! Children, that's not cool. You don't make fun of somebody because of their ethnicity.
Stan: You don't?
Kyle: But Chef, you just ripped on Chinese people.
Chef: No, no, no, no ,no, that's different. I made fun of them because they are from China. You see it's not ok to make fun of an American because they're black brown or whatever. But it is ok to make fun of foreigners because they're from another country.
Kids: Ooooh.
Cartman: Oh alright.
Kevin: Yeah.
