Couldn't understand a word she said.

This would be awesome if someone slowed it down by 10,000%.

She takes it to a whole nother level. I like this version, too, though it's very old:
Fox in Socks, Prince of Denmark

I love how this appears to be taking place in a school, at a talent show, and the audience is both gasping and breaking down in laughter whenever she overcomes a particularly tongue-twisting part.

If I'd done that in high school, I would have been facing a crowd of stone-silent youths who would have golf-clapped me off afterwards and not let me forget how I weirded up the talent show until graduation. She got screamed off, rightly so, like a rock star. My heart grew three sizes.

This is *exactly* how my father used to read me Fox in Socks when I was small. I am not joking at all. I am misting up over fond memories right now.

You want fast? Here's the fast version for bedtime:

Fox.
Socks.
Knox.
Rocks
fall on everyone. Everyone dies. The end.

I like when she slows down for the ANDs at the end and you can hear the audience kinda gasping.

Killing a bedtime story so the enjoyment out of it stems from it being over is a long standing parenting tradition.

I'm not the pheasant plucker, I'm the pheasant plucker's son.
I'm only plucking pheasants till the pheasant plucker comes.

Say it fast. Ten times.

Ah, but you haven't lived till you hear Green Eggs and Ham recited by memory by a drunken Korean college student.

We didn't have youtube back then so you just have to trust me that it was the most memorable recitation I have ever heard. Even better than when the Reverend Jesse Jackson did it on Saturday Night Live, even.

This reminds me of one of my favorite drinking games, Turtle Master. Guess what I'm going ti read to neice and nephew next time I see them? "Bring a ton of sippy cups, kids, you're going to need them . . ."

I read Fox in Sox like this - though not as fast, probably more in the 4-6 minute range - and everyone I've ever read it to just loves it fast.

In high school speech/drama class we did a unit where everyone had to read their favorite picture book ( to help practice emotive, expressive reading ). I ended up doing One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish, but Fox in Sox was my fallback Dr Seuss in case another student did my first choice before me.

Oh man. That's hilarious, odinsdream.

Now we need someone to speed up this cartoon to sync with her reading.
