t was not, in fact, a war for oil, or a war to conquer the resources of Iraq and take them back for American consumption. It was not deliberately killing civilians, on purpose, en masse, as an attempt to intimidate the government. It was not sending assassins to kill the young children of leaders.

This isn't the place for debate about this, I don't think, but it absolutely was all of these things, and it was torture chambers too.

Maybe I'm a little weird but i just finished my 4th playthrough of the Last of Us 2, a genuine work of art, certainly the AAA linear narrative game against which basically every other will be compared for the next 10 years at least. I keep trying to get into other games but the zombie apocalypse just calls me back. Both main characters are compelling to play as, deeply sympathetic, and the combat is endlessly fun.

apropos of very little, in watching this hearing i've noticed that the Senate has its own bottles of water, with little labels on them of the Seal of the Senate and such. When did the Senate make the decision that they needed branded plastic bottles of water? What's wrong with a few pitchers of goddamn tap water on the table? I wish it were different but the 2016 primaries broke everyone's brains and that topic (criticising the Democratic party from left) quickly spirals out of control with recriminations and old grudges. Hey! Javascript is a fine language these ES6+ days. Add in some TypeScript and you're really cooking. I enjoy my JS hacking day to day, and hey! my student loan consolidation finally went through so although FUCKING FUCK I'm going to be paying it until 2048, at least my monthly payment is lower now, and that has reduced a lot of my fucks. In jamaican english/creole, "bombocloth" means "r'asscloth" means something you use to wipe your bum. I don't know how to interpret "bumblefuck" except "anal sex". It's two slurs in one: you get Deliverance-esque suggestions about the sexuality of people in the boonies, and a generalized homophobic slur. I've probably said it before but I'm going to stop now.

The point is that the anti-pit people seem to think that pits are a danger. A public health issue, perhaps. That it would be dangerous to erase stigma about them.
