The Path: The Future

At the annual Ascension Festival, Cal attempts to maintain his grip on power through manipulating basically everyone; several couples get a chance to be adorable, and at least one couple gets a chance to be hella creepy and disturbing (hi again Cal); and we find out more about the structure and history of the Meyerist Movement. Also that FBI agent and that heroin addict kid show up again. Man, there are a lot of people in this cult (it's not a fucking cult!)

The Path: The Era of the Way

Eddie and Sarah do some specialized Meyerist marriage counselling (spoiler alert, it's weird), while their son Hawk copes with the pressures of attending high school as the ultimate outcast. Meanwhile, Cal has big plans for the future of the movement.

The Path: What the Fire Throws

Welcome to the Meyerist Movement, which is totally not a cult at all. Like, what, just because we plaster an emblem of a giant glowing eye all over everything, that means we're a cult?

The Great British Bake Off: The Final

Only three of the original twelve bakers remain. They've made it to the final. Over 27 challenges, they've worked their way through every baking discipline Mary and Paul have thrown at them - from cakes to bread, pastry to puddings, and biscuits to chocolate. Along the way they have tackled recipes from the 70s and 80s, they've gone back to the Victorian era, they've made gluten-free bread, strange meringue concoctions, incredible constructions out of biscuits, bread and choux... They have all survived, and now they face their last three challenges.

Movie: 100 Bloody Acres

This 2012 Australian horror comedy tells the story of two brothers who find a new and potent source of organic material for their blood and bone fertilizer business, and some teens who get caught up in their plans. Matt Zoller Seitz of rogerebert.com called it "the best low-budget horror comedy since Shaun of the Dead, and one of the most assured first features in ages." And it's on Watch Instantly!

Movie: Foodfight!

Of this masterpiece of product placement, the AV Club says "the grotesque ugliness of the animation alone would be a deal-breaker even if the film weren’t also glaringly inappropriate in its sexuality, nightmare-inducing in its animation, and filled with Nazi overtones and iconography even more egregiously unfit for children than the script’s wall-to-wall gauntlet of crude double entendres and weird intimations of interspecies sex. "Thanks" to hellojed for his FPP informing me of the existence of this monstrosity.
