Trailer Park: June 2023
Brief note: the "trailer" for Kraven is a fake. It makes it seem as if Toms Holland and Hardy are in the film (they aren't) and leaves out Chameleon, Rhino, Calypso (played by Oscar winner Ariana DeBose), and Russell Crowe as his dad.

This looks like the real deal. CW: it's a red band trailer; has some violence to animals and people, including Kraven attacking someone with his teeth.

Anyone taking The Stand?
They're definitely doing some interesting things with the structure of the story, vis-a-vis the book, but I'll save that for your post.

Star Trek VI and Generations
Yes, I'd love to do TUC.

What books haven't you been posting?
Scud: The Disposable Assassin: The Whole Shebang. Collection of a cult comic notable mostly for having been written partly by Dan Harmon. The art by Rob Schrab, creator and primary author (and, like Harmon, now known mostly for his TV work), can be somewhat messy and overcrowded, particularly in the early installments, but it’s still a nifty book about a single-use robot assassin who rebels against his fate.

MCU Movie Rewatch in Chronological Order
I'd be up for that. Not sure if I already have access to all the movies (either streaming or hard copy) but I'll pipe in on the ones that I do.

Star Trek: The Next Generation
I will of course be down for following and commenting on this, as with all things Trek, although I don't want to do posts unless it's direly required for pinch-hitting for the regular posters; after co-posting for most of DS9, all of VOY, and now a big chunk of ENT (and Short Treks, although at least they were short), I'm more than happy to hand over my helm duty shift and be one of those anonymous officers in the background, doing whatever. (Galaga?)

Star Trek: Picard
I done posted the post for "Children of Mars" (note the correct title).

And I am super-fine with someone else doing the posts for STP/PIC/JLP/whatever. I plan on seeing ENT through, unless someone else steps up (which wouldn't surprise me, as we're just starting S4, when the show really pops into gear, hint hint). My only concern is that the poster(s) not do a half-assed or cursory job of it. (Which is not at all the same as saying that you have to like the… [more]

I can't not ask - Joker?
I'd say so. I haven't seen it and frankly was a bit concerned about going to early screenings, but I'll probably end up seeing it in the theater soon. There's still a live thread on the blue, but that's mostly about early reviews and concerns about violence around it, etc.

The Next Voyage
I will not be a poster, because I've already done so for VOY and most of DS9, although I will have plenty to say as a commenter, I'm sure. As far as the choice of show, I could go any which way, honestly.

DS9 Duffer's Guide
WRT COB's "skippable" list, I'd generally be more inclusive of episodes, but the one that I'd really go to the wall for is "Hard Time." Not an easy episode to watch, for emotional reasons, but a very good one in every aspect.

(Get a) Life After Deep Space Nine
Right now, I'd say VOY, ENT, TNG, whatever.

Shall we start with Voyager and see where it goes? It is nearly the beginning of the year, after all.

Sounds good to me. The only change I'd suggest would be that the poster could feel free to include some personal observations in the body of the post. Especially WRT some of the more questionable episodes--by which, I of course mean "Threshold"--it might be a bit more fun.

I certainly don't have a problem with that stance, gusottertrout. In fact, I don't think that I'd be terribly presumptuous in saying that what many if not most of us enjoyed most about DS9 is that it was often very much not Federation-as-usual much of the time. There are also many Voyager eps in which it's very much not FAU. (The argument vs. "Threshold" IMO is that it was done pretty badly, not that it was attempted at all.) One of the big… [more]

It occurred to me that you may have meant that "Federation-as-usual" as more like the usual seeking out new life forms and civilizations, boldly going wherever type of stuff, and "Threshold" as being more along the lines of weird science. (What if Neelix tinkered with the transporter and it created duplicates of the crew that were the people that their parents wished that they were?) And VOY has those, along with stuff like "Bride of Chaotica!".

Strangers... with candy?
Aw yiss. Aside from that bespectacled feller who costarred in this who I've heard has made something of himself, I've been enjoying Sedaris as Princess Carolyn in BoJack Horseman, and I'd love to revisit this series.
