9,308 photographs of North Dakota
I had been told, but had not realised, that North Dakota was very flat. Wow, it's really really flat.

RPGWrite - an inspirational writing tool
At first I thought it was a bit silly as I'm not really an RPG kind of person but then I imagined it if it were a poker machine and each paragraph were a $5 note and now I love it and hate it. I've just got to go to the ATM now and withdraw another 500 words, I can totally win it all back

Your Hipster Meme Is Completely F---ing Played Out
Satire breaks down when you get to "Asshole In Skinny Jeans". That's just about the most correct description I've ever heard of his early career.

American Worker Cooperative
This is fantastic. Industrial co-ops are one of my on-again off-again fixations.

May I suggest for your library; Race Mathews' Jobs of Our Own: Building a Stakeholder Society in 1999 which was an Australian history of worker cooperatives, Christian socialism and mutualism? I think it's out of print, but there's a review here (PDF).

Race also has a bit of a monster library about mutuals and mutualism on his website.

Fuck Lorem Ipsum
Any chance of an alternative hyperlink that isn't going to raise the eyebrows of my work IT department?

Wojtek, the soldier bear: the T-shirt
Damn that's a handsome shell-carrying bear.

Not to be a pain, but does Pernambuko get her/his proper attribution according to the licencing requirements of the image?

What Ken Be Done? Celebrating 80s Fashion from Australia and doing good.
Good cause, but...
Can collecting Ken Done be good?
I'm with peacay. No, it can't.

CMcL: Illustrations of Conversations
This is really sweet. In the 'lovely' sense, not the 'choice brah sweet as' sense. And it's the lack of context that makes it so.

One comment on readability: in this one (and in some others) it's hard to immediately work out the sequence of captions—it's counterintuitive to read English when it seems to go right to left.

Swearing with spices
This is delightfully juvenile.

Submit a made up video game and I'll make your box art.
OK I've submitted my entry.

I'd be really interested to see the rejected pile of suggested games (that could have had art done, but didn't).

Historic Joplin - a website on the history of Joplin, Missouri
That's some good local history.

We need more of these kinds of young women on ask.mefi.
Scovern said a “Hello Girl” had the instinct of Sherlock Holmes and the cunning of an expert in the dead letter department at the Post Office. He praised one operator who, through her extensive memory and ability to analyze voices, could detect “fraudulent use of the toll board exchange” and despite the many “rag chewings and some unpleasantness” proved a “valuable guardian of the company’s interests.”
Awesome.
