Give me examples of problematic advertising images
As part of a discussion/awareness raising group, I'm going to be facilitating an exercise examining problematic advertising (from an equality or social justice perspective) . Think sexism, racist imagery, reinforcing gender norms, etc. I'm looking for more recent examples, from anywhere in the world. They need to be able to be printed and handed out (so no video). Overt or subtle welcome. If you'd rather not post it here, feel free to memail me.

We have hornets (or wasps, or whatever) that are coming into our house. I know (roughly) where the next must be, based on observed behavior outside the house. Who do I need to contact, and what should I expect for remediation?

Did I see someone using some sort of posture alarm while running?
This was my experience this morning: I'm cycling, and I see this guy running, opposite direction to me. He has a cap on, and on top of the cap was what (at first) I thought was a light. Then I thought maybe it was a camera. Then as he got closer I thought it was a donut, like maybe an orange cream filled or something. then as I got closer I heard very regular beeping that I'm pretty sure was coming from the not-donut. And then I couldn't tell what it was, apart from it was orange and about 2 inches tall, maybe cylindrical or donut-shaped. My best guess is that it was some sort of device to help him regulate head/posture, kind of like "teach kids to walk while balancing books on their head". Google is not helping. Can the hivemind suss this out?

I learned recently that a friend of mine has recently come out as gay, is ending their marriage and is taking a break from work because they are experiencing a lot of trauma with the upheaval they are experiencing. In particular, they feel 'broken' right now. I don't have any experience with these issues, and I'm trying to find art, particularly poetry, that they might find comforting.

BIPOC/Woman owned handyperson/contractor in Seattle area
I'm trying to find someone to help with some projects around our home, like painting/sealing windowframes, recaulking outside siding, light gutter repair, deck/stair repair, etc.
I'm not having luck with trying to find BIPOC/Woman owned businesses to do this work. I tried using some lists that seattle.gov maintains, and found a few places (like amyworks.com), but either got no response, or that people were only interested in larger construction jobs.
I have tried with personal referrals as well, without any results. Any suggestions? MeFites in the area, any suggestions?
How do I rehome these freezer bricks?
I have about 75-100 of these refreezable ice packs. I've tried nextdoor, facebook and buynothing, and no one wants more than a few of them. I don't have the patience to give them out a few at a time. Any suggestions about how I can get rid of them, apart from putting them in the trash?

Does eating a banana change the taste of coffee?
I ate a banana, then drank a pour-over coffee, and the coffee was super-bitter the first few sips. I don't remember this happening before, and after a few minutes/additional sips, the taste went back to it's normal, mellow-self. I hadn't eaten anything else, and it was a coffee shop that typically does good pour overs. Did eating the banana change my experience of the coffee?
