Reading through some old AskMe posts, I saw that a lot of people had responded to various questions about being gay/lesbian/bi/etc in NYC with offers to meet up and hang out. And I thought, well, I could stalker-ily message those people, or I could just post an event and see if anyone is into it.

I will be working at the NYC Honey Festival at the Rockaway Beach Boardwalk this Saturday. It just occurred to me to post it here. Come take advantage of one of the few remaining nice Saturdays of 2012! And get free samples of local honey, and drink locally-brewed beer with honey in it, and check out a honey extraction and glassed-in observation hive! And probably listen to me geek out about varroa mite mitigation techniques!

I'm an American studying abroad in Beijing this semester, and I'd like to break out of the college bubble a little and meet some local Mefites. I obviously don't know the city all that well, so if people wanted to meet up, it'd probably be better for someone else to propose a venue. Anyone interested in meeting up sometime in the next few weeks?
