Why don't we assemble at Oak Tree and take it from there? If the weather is favourable, there's a nice-sized patio at the ready. If not, we can always make a move to KPub or Hayden Block or wherever. 7pm alright with everyone?

I'm definitely in for anytime after 4pm, and I'm very curious about the Spice Welcome! "Spice" is defined by angiep as the plural of "spouse". In other words, feel free to bring your significant other if you'd like.

I love the Bear & Kilt. However, I definitely overlooked the St. Patrick's Day aspect of things. Pretty much any pub that day will be a tricky place to have any kind of conversation. I'm sure we'll be able to find a non-rowdy venue to meet that day, but I'm also available Saturday night if anyone else would prefer.

Calgary Christmas MeFiMeet - belated take 2

Why don't we kick it back until after Feb 15, so that articseal can join? I'm free on the evening of the 16th if that could work for others! Otherwise, I'm not free again until the following weekend. And my vote is that spice/SOs be super welcome!

An idea: would anyone be interested in coming to an East coast-style kitchen party on the 21st? I guess that's this Wednesday - whoa! The month has really flown by! I play with a gaggle folks every Wednesday at Fionn McCool's in Eau Claire market every Wednesday night. This Wednesday (the 21st) is our last session for the year, so it promises to be a real hoot. Calgary Meetup

<100dB hangs sound good! Friday/Saturday is the most doable for me too, although the next few weekends are somewhat busy for me. How does Friday, Sept 23 sound for a date? I'll ponder a suitable venue this weekend; any suggestions on that front? Something like a board game cafe might be well-suited to something like this. There's also Kawa and the Roasterie, both solid options in the category of "coffee shops w/later hours".

Hahaha right on. OK so the only problem is I have an oldschool phone from like 1997 with a text-only situation, so once I leave the house here I won't have access to this thread anymore. However, tell you what: nubs, I'll send you a Mefi Mail message with my number on it, and you can text my directly about who's sitting where etc. Maybe I'll also bring a notebook and write MEFI on it in huge letters. Anyways, see you all in a bit! Really looking forward to it!
